Little Lindi is brought to you by the Lindisfarne Festival team.
We had many a meeting as to whether children should be allowed at the end of summer Party that is Lindisfarne Festival. Then – a lightbulb moment – let’s have a festival just for the kids! And Little Lindi was born.
It’s been years in the planning. Set on the stunning Lambton Estate in County Durham, Little Lindi will make its debut in July 2022 and be an exhilarating and immersive event filled with music, arts and bucketloads of opportunities to explore, have fun and try something different – all with your favourite people.
The festival is built on the kind of values which have cemented Lindisfarne Festival into the hearts and diaries of thousands of grown up good-time seekers across the North East and wider UK, we think it’s the perfect way to kick off the summer holidays – a big fun family camp out, so don’t forget your marshmallows!
The festival will offer a diverse programme of music, circus and theatre performances across stages and tents filled with arts and well-being workshops including yoga, dance, bushcraft, meditation, circus and storytelling.
Festival founder, Conleth Maenpaa, said: “Ever since we launched Lindisfarne Festival in 2015, we always planned to put together something for families. For a long time, we thought that would mean having a family element at Lindisfarne Festival.
“But as the years have gone by, the over 18s policy has worked well for Lindisfarne and we decided that actually, we wanted to develop and put on an event that was really orientated towards kids.
“Little Lindi will be so much more than just family friendly – it’s going to be completely family focused and a brilliant way to introduce kids to the festival experience.
